About Karen Ryle, MS, RPh

Karen Ryle, MS, RPh is the director of outpatient pharmacy at Massachusetts General Hospital. She oversees four outpatient pharmacies: Mass General outpatient pharmacy on the main campus, Mass General Brigham Healthcare Center (Waltham) pharmacy, Revere HealthCare Center pharmacy, and North End Waterfront Health Center pharmacy.

Ryle earned her bachelor of science degree in pharmacy and her master of science degree in drug regulatory affairs from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS). She is past president of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy and past president of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.

Ryle is also a member of the Massachusetts Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) and has been deployed along with other employees of Mass General to assist states during natural disasters including hurricanes and earthquakes. She is a recipient of various awards including the Bowl of Hygeia and the MCPHS College Medal.
