Funding for clinical research can be obtained through collaborating with industry, however a good number of clinical researchers must prepare grant proposals to obtain funding through the federal government or foundations.
Grant writing can be an intricate process, but the Clinical Research Program (CRP) at Massachusetts General Hospital has resources to help.
As you prepare to write your grant, be sure to engage the support of your mentor and collaborators–especially those with biostatistical expertise–for input and feedback along the way.
The InfoEd Suite of products is the official Partners' grants management system used by the Partners Research Management Clinical Research Office to manage the entire research grant lifecycle for all grants received by Mass General investigators—from submission through award, renewals and closeout. Features include proposal submission, award management, subcontract issuance, sub-recipient monitoring, effort commitments, links to protocol records and electronic storage of research files.
The CRP at Mass General helps to connect investigators and study staff members to a variety of courses, services and resources that provide assistance with every step of the clinical research process. These include offerings from the CRP itself, as well as associated research institutions and organizations. Mass General resources are listed first; CRP programs are noted in parentheses.
