Gastroenterology Unit at MGH is a known leader in providing training to medical students, pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellows, and possibilities for more specialized advanced training.

Our Gastroenterology Fellowship is a highly competitive program aimed at the instruction in the clinical and investigative aspects of gastrointestinal and hepatic disease. The major objective is to provide intensive and individualized training for candidates who plan to pursue a career in academic gastroenterology with a significant commitment to research. Our Advanced Fellowships aim to provide an outstanding training focused on advanced experience in respective fields. Currently we have three advanced training programs in Endoscopy, Hepatology and IBD. Physicians interested in entering advanced training need to have completed their two-year gastroentorologic fellowship.

MGH Gastrointestinal Unit also offers continuing Medical Education courses under the umbrella of Department of Continuing Education at Harvard Medical School that explore the latest developments in the field of gastroenterology. We also maintain an on-line library of endoscopy procedures on our DAVE website.
