Description:
Presented by the MGH Radiological Society, this CME course will include a symposium in the morning in the Simches Building and the Hampton Lecture and sit-down dinner at the JFK Library.

Agenda:

The MGH Radiological Society, which fosters professional, scientific, and medical interactions among graduates of radiology training at Mass General, will host the second Hampton Symposium on Oct. 15, 2011.

Taking place during the bicentenniel celebrations of the 1811 founding of Massachusetts General Hospital, this year's symposium aims to be a historical gathering of past, present and future MGH radiology alumni. Events begin Friday Oct. 14, when arriving alumni will be hosted at a meet-and-greet cocktail reception at the historic Liberty Hotel (formerly the Charles Street jail) adjacent to MGH. On Saturday morning, lectures by current and former professors will educate attendees about historical milestones in MGH radiology as well as recent advancements in the field of imaging. Technology topics include thoracic radiology, neuroimaging, CT lung cancer screening, and molecular imaging. Events conclude Saturday evening at the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum with a dinner and lecture by Radiologist-in-Chief Dr. James Thrall.
