In Memoriam: Paul M. Maloney
Paul M. Maloney, an MGH Buildings and Grounds electrician for nearly 10 years, died unexpectedly Dec 1. Maloney was widely considered not only an excellent employee but also very helpful and kind, according to his colleagues and supervisors.
"Paul came to work at the MGH in April 2001 and soon became a valuable asset to the department," says John Schena, foreman at the MGH Electric Shop. "His keen mind gave him the ability to master several of the hospital’s critical electrical systems. Paul’s easygoing manner and gift for storytelling will be missed."
Maloney, who was a resident of Canton and formerly Hyde Park, was the beloved husband of Laura; father of 5-year-old Olivia Jean; son of Mary; and brother of Gregory Jr., Stephen, John and the late William. He is survived by many other relatives and friends.
"Paul’s co-workers and friends at the MGH will keep his memories alive in their hearts and work," adds Robert Gallagher, assistant manager of Automation.
