MGH “Share a Story” Facebook application
The MGH’s long history as an institution is made particularly special by the multitude of stories of hope and healing from the hospital’s many patients and family members, staff, and friends. To enable individuals to share anecdotes about how the MGH has touched their lives, a Facebook application, “Share a Story,” was created by MGH Marketing. In addition to providing a forum for uploading personal stories, application users also can explore the stories shared by others.
Launched in January, the application can be found at www.facebook.com/massgeneral and then by selecting the “Share a Story” tab at the top of the page. To help spread the word about this exciting new forum and how to use it, MGH Marketing hosted an information table Feb. 25 in the White Lobby.
MGHers also can stay updated on bicentennial happenings by becoming a friend of Padihershef, the Egyptian mummy who was given to the MGH in 1823 and is on display in the Ether Dome. To friend Padi, who is known on Facebook as “Padi Hershef,” visit www.facebook.com/mghpadi.
