Honoring MGH’s 2010 PIE awardees

TEAMING WITH EXCELLENCE: A group from The Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program won a 2010 PIE team award and posed for a photo with Slavin and Gottlieb.

Partners in Excellence (PIE) Award recipients from the MGH packed into the Bulfinch Tent on April 22 to celebrate another year of outstanding efforts in support of Partners HealthCare and its affiliated institutions. The PIE Award Program is now in its 15th year.

Awardees were nominated by colleagues in the areas of quality treatment and service, operational efficiency, leadership and innovation, teamwork, and community contributions. In these categories, 1,951 MGH employees were selected to receive awards -- including 593 individual awards, 70 MGH team
awards and 25 Partners network team awards.

Jeff Davis, senior vice president for Human Resources, welcomed guests and served as master of ceremonies for the event. Peter L. Slavin, MD, MGH president, and Gary L. Gottlieb, MD, MBA, Partners HealthCare president and CEO, gave remarks and posed for photos with recipients. The event also featured a presentation of the 2010 PIE video.
