The MGH Department of Nursing will release a commemorative book, "MGH Nursing at Two Hundred," on May 2. Through historical images and written reflections, the book provides an overview of 200 years of nursing at the MGH. The MGH General Store will offer the book at a 20.11 percent discount during May, and Jeanette Ives Erickson, RN, MS, FAAN, senior vice president for Patient Care and chief nurse, will sign books at the General Store May 5 from 3 to 4 pm following the Chief Nurse Address in the O’Keeffe Auditorium – one of the many events being held as part of MGH Nurse Recognition Week May 1 through 6. MGHers also are invited to catch a glimpse of MGH nursing history through a photo exhibit on display in Doric Hall at the Massachusetts State House from May 2 through 13. For more information about the State House exhibit, the commemorative book or Nurse Recognition Week, contact Nursing Administration at 617-726-3100.
