FULL COURT SUPPORT: Forlenza, right, with his son Chris at the basketball fundraiser
The Lurie Center for Autism at MGH and MassGeneral Hospital for Children was one of the beneficiaries of the 12th Annual Full Court Charity Challenge March 12 at Basketball City in Boston. Created and organized by Bob Forlenza, a Lurie Center volunteer and parent, the tournament has raised nearly $2 million since it was established to support organizations serving children and adults with autism. At the Lurie Center, the funds help to underwrite the clinic's many patient and family support initiatives that are essential but generally nonreimbursable for many families. Approximately 250 basketball enthusiasts participated in the round robin competition. For more information about the
Lurie Center, access www.massgeneral.org/luriecenter.
