In General: Daniel Kavanagh, PhD
Daniel G. Kavanagh, PhD, a faculty member at the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT and Harvard, has received a $100,000 grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation through round six of its Grand Challenges Explorations initiative, which funds research to benefit global health and development. Kavanagh's project will develop new methods to detect and characterize rare cells that are latently infected with HIV in patients undergoing antiretroviral drug treatment.
