“My Giving Helps” nears goal
MGH Fund: Davis at the dunk booth
At the June 21 picnic, employees had the chance to dunk good-natured colleagues like Jeff Davis, senior vice president for Human Resources, at a dunk tank sponsored by the “My Giving Helps” MGH Fund Employee Campaign. But the chance to make a splash – and a big difference – through the yearly fundraising campaign continues.
Employees have until June 30 to make a donation to the campaign, which is less than $100,000 away from reaching its goal. Past gifts to the MGH Fund have supported a range of initiatives, from establishing the Be Fit program to providing relief in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake and resources to MGHers affected by the disaster.
“A simple gift of $1 per week through payroll deduction enables the MGH to meet immediate opportunities and challenges within the hospital community and the community at large,” says Hilary Smiley Marshall, senior director of the MGH Fund. To make a new payroll-deduction pledge, increase an existing pledge or make a one-time gift, visit www.massgeneral.org/mygivinghelps.
