In General: Sustainable Champions

Several MGH employees have been recognized by Partners HealthCare Sustainable Initiatives as 2011 Sustainable Champion Winners. Ida Aiken, RN, of the Operating Rooms (OR), was honored for increasing recycling and decreasing waste rates in the OR; Todd Fahey, of the Emergency Department, for being an advocate for sustainable initiatives; and Alys Myers, of the Center for Community Health Improvement, for setting up a recycling program at 101 Merrimac St.  All three are members of the MGH Raising Environmental Awareness League (REAL). In addition, an Integrated Network Communications Team from Information Services – including MGHers Mike Cole, Richard Santiago, Scott Hooper, Wayne Baptiste, Jim Candito, Jim Unger, Bob Sevigny and Leonard Trignani, and led by Paul Tucceri, of Partners – was recognized for its work to increase recycling in the Lunder Building.
