Students explore careers at the MGH

EAST BOSTON HIGH SCHOOL senior Ishmael Branch, 18, center, watches as Daly Celletti, RT, radiology technologist, left, and Tracy Costley, RTR, radiology technical supervisor – both from Emergency Radiology – demonstrate X-ray imaging on National Job Shadow Day on Feb. 3. Branch was one of 79 high school students who took part in the 17th annual event, which paired students from schools including East Boston and the Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers with MGH staff in 65 different departments. Students toured clinical laboratories, learned about groundbreaking research and also gained insight into possible career paths. The event was hosted by the MGH Center for Community Health Improvement.
