Docent Jodie Grossman, far right, welcomes the first visitors into the new Paul S. Russell, MD Museum of Medical History and Innovation during its public opening April 17. This group of MGH Bicentennial Scholars – from left, Jenny Bermudez, Iesha Hall-Ivery, Mursal Hassan, Zazil Mardones and Belinda Bego – joined 200 visitors and MGH staff excited to tour the exhibits, which highlight the evolution of medicine and clinical practice throughout the MGH’s 200-year history. “I’ve been waiting eagerly for the museum to open. It’s beautiful,” says Grossman. “I love American history and love Boston history, so volunteering here is really my cup of tea.” The Russell Museum is now open weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm.
