Carey York-Best, MD, at left, a physician in the Vincent Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, was honored with the inaugural MGH Bulfinch Student Teaching Award May 7 at a ceremony at Harvard Medical School. The award was presented by Stephen Calderwood, MD, chief of Infectious Disease.
York-Best has worked at the MGH since 1993 and has served as director for the OB/GYN Core Clerkship at the MGH since 2008. The award recognizes her ability to provide constructive feedback and her dedication and attentiveness to the needs of medical students participating in the program. Nominations for the award were submitted by medical students who credited York-Best with being an amazing and enthusiastic mentor.
