Blood Donor Center promotions
From now through July 21, all blood donors at the MGH Blood Donor Center or MGH Bloodmobile will receive a T-shirt and be entered to win Red Sox tickets. When the center reaches 1,000 Facebook followers, one blood donor will win an overnight stay at the Dan’l Webster Inn in Sandwich. For more information, visit the center’s Facebook page at

New Police, Security and Outside Services website
MGH Police, Security and Outside Services has launched a new website at www.massgeneral.org/police. The site includes facility contacts, safety tips, commuter and parking information, as well as an overview of the Photography Department. The department also has transitioned to a completely paperless system for photo ID and detail requests, which can be found on the new site.

Clinical Research seminars
The MGH Clinical Research Program is offering the following seminars: “Clinical Trial Billing: Clinical Trials with Investigational Devices or Approved Devices with PMA/510K Numbers” June 20 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm in the Simches Center, Room 3.110; and “The Chimeric Brain: Crossing the Boundaries between Species! Scientific Regulatory and Ethical Implications” June 25 from 4 to 5 pm in the Simches Center, Room 3.120. Register at http://hub.partners.org/catalog.


MGH Global Health Expo
The MGH Center for Global Health will host a Global Health Expo June 21 from 3 to 6 pm in the Bulfinch Tent. More than 20 departments, divisions and organizations will be available to discuss their work as well as talk about international and domestic opportunities for all levels of staff. Endecott Pear Tree event
The Essex National Heritage Commission, in collaboration with Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care and the Danvers Historical Society, will present a lecture and visit to the Endecott Pear Tree, deemed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to be the oldest living fruit tree in North America. The event will take place June 19 from 6 to 8 pm at the Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care, located at 102 Endicott Street in Danvers. Registration is required and tickets are available by calling 978-740-0444 or visiting www.essexheritage.org.
