Increased patient volume has caused a significant shortage of available parking on a daily basis for MGH patients, their families and visitors – as well as staff. As a result, the MGH Parking and Commuter Office is leasing additional parking locations as a way to address the shortage and to ensure cost-effective employee parking
for years to come.
Effective July 23, a series of changes will be made to the current parking program for day-shift employees. The changes are:
• Day-shift employees currently parking in the 99 Nashua Street or 100 Nashua Street lots who plan to leave before 6:30 pm will now park in the North Station garage underneath the TD Garden. Those who exit after 6:30 pm can continue to park in the Nashua Street lots.
• All employees who currently park in the Lomasney Garage in the value card program will park in the
North Station garage if leaving before 6:30 pm, or the Nashua Street lot if exiting after 6:30 pm.
• Employees who are currently debit coupon users in the Nashua Street and Lomasney garages are encouraged to sign up for the automatic weekly payroll deduction, which will lower the cost to $83.50 per month.
Since July 23, members of the Parking and Commuter Service team have been on site at the Lomasney
