MGH Internal Medicine residents Renuka Tipirneni, MD, of the MGH Chelsea HealthCare Center, and
Maria Han, MD, of MGH Senior Health, have been selected as Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars, a two-year fellowship program that begins in July 2013. Tipirneni will begin her fellowship at the University of Michigan, and Han will begin at UCLA. During the program, they will examine the delivery, impact and organization of health care in order to take a leadership role in improving health care in the United States. 

Gaurdia Banister, PhD, RN, executive director at the Institute for Patient Care at the MGH, received the Mary Mahoney Award from the American Nurses Association for her work in advancing equal opportunities in nursing for members of minority groups.
