Cooking Matters classes offered
The MGH Chelsea HealthCare Center will be collaborating with Cooking Matters to meet the needs of the Spanish-speaking population by hosting a six-week cooking class conducted in Spanish. The class will meet at the Boys & Girls Club in Chelsea on Thursdays at 11 am to 1 pm, from March 19 through April 30. For more information, call (617) 887-3575.

Breast cancer fundraising event
Friends Fighting Breast Cancer will host a Sparkling Soiree and Silent Auction” March 23 from 7 pm to 11:45 pm at the Peabody Essex Museum. The event will include delicious food, live music, and a silent auction. All proceeds benefit breast cancer research at the MGH.  

HMS global health lecture
Dr. Felton Earls, Research Professor of Human Behavior and Development at the Harvard School of Public Health and Professor Emeritus of Social Medicine at the Harvard Medical School will present the lecture “From Chicago to Moshi: An Exercise in Global Mental Health,” Feb. 25 from 6 to 7:30 pm in the Trustees Room, Bulfinch 225A.
