NEW HOME: BTS staff members are gearing up for their temporary
relocation to White 12.
THE MGH BLOOD TRANSFUSION SERVICE (BTS) will temporarily relocate its operations to the 12th floor of the White Building on April 1 while its current location in the Jackson Building undergoes renovations. The BTS is a full-service department that consists of the Blood Donor Center, the Outpatient Infusion Unit, the Stem Cell Collection Center, the Photopheresis Unit and the Therapeutic Apheresis Unit, the Transfusion Service and the Histocompatibility Laboratory – all of which are relocating during the renovation.
The BTS provides a number of essential services – including stem cell collections, therapeutic phlebotomies, transfusions, infusions and iron injections – for a wide range of patients. For more information, call (617) 726-8164.
