More than 20 organizations representing multiple departments and specialties gathered July 17 under the Bulfinch Tent for the MGH Global Health Expo. Sponsored by the MGH Center for Global Health, the second annual event offered staff an opportunity to learn about the breadth and depth of global health opportunities and initiatives.
Peter Moschovis, MD, MPH, an MGH Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Pediatric Global Health fellow, was one of the exhibitors at the expo. “I’m focused on childhood respiratory infection here at MGH and in Uganda,” he said. “We’re here to share our research and training and to recruit volunteers for work in India, Uganda and at the MGH. Children are dying from preventable and easily treatable respiratory diseases because these countries lack simple interventions and access to critical care services.”
