Health Information Lunchtime Lecture Series
Andrea Patenaude, PhD, associate professor of psychology at HMS, will discuss her book, "Prophylactic Mastectomy: Insights from Women Who Chose to Reduce Their Risk," on Sept. 13, 12 pm at the Harvard Medical School’s Countway Library of Medicine, 10 Shattuck St. in Boston. ACMES Biomedical Advances of Autism conference
Register for the 2013 American Chinese Medical Exchange Society (ACMES) Biomedical Advances of Autism conference. The conference consists of three major panels: “Research and renovation,” “Alternative treatment for autism” and “Evidence based treatment for autism.” Christopher McDougle, MD, director of Lurie Center for Autism at the MGH is one of the featured speakers. The conference will be held on Aug. 18 from 8 am to 5:30 pm at Harvard Medical School’s DFCI, Jimmy Fund Audiorium, 35 Binney St., Boston. MGH Candlepin Bowling League seeks new members

2013 Partners in Excellence (PIE) Award nominations
The deadline to submit 2013 PIE Award nominations is Sept. 13. Nominate an employee who goes above and beyond to contributing to the success of Partners’ institutions. Online nominations are available by visiting http://pulse.partners.org/PIE/InstructionsWEB.asp. Paper nomination forms are available through department managers and supervisors. Nominations will be reviewed by the selection committees in January and the annual PIE Award ceremonies will be held in April 2014.
