Oh baby!

A REUNION TO REMEMBER: Heidi and Andrew Cheerman of Sharon, Mass. reunite with Massachusetts State Trooper Michael Close hours after he helped deliver their baby. In the early hours of May 2, the Cheermans were on their way to the MGH when they were forced to pull over on the side of the road at Charles Circle in Boston – Heidi Cheerman, a physical therapist at the MGH, was giving birth. Without skipping a beat, Close – who was working an overnight detail – grabbed his medical bag, towels and blankets from his cruiser and delivered Alanna Juliet – a healthy baby girl. “Michael did an incredible job,” Heidi Cheerman says. “It is just so great to see people pull together to help a miracle happen.”
