From Storrow Drive
• From the end of Storrow Drive (Leverett Circle) keep to the far right towards North Station and take a sharp right (do not go up the ramp), onto Martha Road which turns into Lomansey Way (the Lomansey Parking Garage will be on your right).
• At the light at the intersection of Lomansey, Staniford, Merrimac and Causeway, turn left onto Causeway Street. You will pass the Banknorth Garden on your left and the North Station Orange Line T station on your right.
• One block past the Banknorth Garden, turn left onto N. Washington Street, and pass over the Charlestown Bridge.
• At the first light after the bridge, take a right onto Chelsea Street. Go through 3 traffic control lights.
• At the fourth light, turn right on 13th Street (Gate 5). To park, take first left onto Fifth Avenue. The parking garage entrance is on the right about half way down the block.
• Building 149 is on 13th Street, attached to and across the street from the Parking garage.

From 93 North
• Take 93 South to Exit 23: Government Center exit. It will be the first exit in the I93 North tunnel.
• Stay to the right coming out of the I93 North tunnel. At the first set of lights [with the Callahan Tunnel in front of you], turn left onto Cross Street . You can make a left from the right hand lane.
• Continue straight through 2 sets of lights and bear right onto Joe Tecce Way / N. Washington Street. • Stay on N. Washington Street through the set of lights at Causeway St. and pass over the Charlestown Bridge.
• At the first light after the bridge, take a right. Go through three traffic control lights.
• At the fourth light, turn right on 13th Street (Gate 5). To park, take first left onto Fifth Avenue. The parking garage entrance is on the right about half way down the block.
• Building 149 is on 13th Street, attached to and across the street from the Parking garage.

From 93 South
• Take Exit 28 (Charlestown/Sullivan Square).
• At the end of the exit where the road forks stay in the middle and proceed past the bus terminal to the rotary at Sullivan Square.
• Go halfway around the rotary towards Charlestown (the Schrafts building with a large American flag on top of it will be on your left).
• Cross the railroad tracks and take a left at the fire station onto Medford Street.
• At the end of Medford street turn left onto Chelsea Street and make an immediate right onto 13th Street
• To park, take first left onto Fifth Avenue. The parking garage entrance is on the right about half way down the block.
• Building 149 is on 13th Street, attached to and across the street from the Parking garage.

From Logan Airport:
• By public transportation, take the Blue Line from Airport stop to Green Line Government Center stop. Take the Green Line to North Station and follow the directions below for MGH/Partners Shuttle.
• By car, follow exit signs out of airport, take Route 1A south through the Sumner tunnel towards Boston
• Follow signs to Government Center / North End / North Station / Charlestown. You'll be on Cross Street at the edge of the North End.
• Turn slightly left onto Joe Tecce Way / N Washington Street
• Stay on N. Washington Street through the set of lights at Causeway St. and pass over the Charlestown Bridge.
• At the first light after the bridge, take a right. Go through three traffic control lights.
• At the fourth light, turn right on 13th Street (Gate 5). To park, take first left onto Fifth Avenue. The parking garage entrance is on the right about half way down the block.
• Building 149 is on 13th Street, attached to and across the street from the Parking garage. .

By Taxi
• Direct the driver to the MGH East, Building 149 in the Charlestown Navy Yard.

By Public Transportation & the MGH/Partners Shuttle
• Take the T (Green Line or Orange Line) to North Station.
• Then take the MGH/Partners Shuttle bus to the Charlestown Navy Yard MGH East Research Building (Building 149). The bus will be parked on Canal Street just before the intersection of Causeway St.
• The MGH/Partners Shuttle bus leaves MGH on Blossom Street and stops at North Station on Canal Street by the Green Line T stop. The shuttle goes every 15 minutes during working hours. (Less often on the weekends and holidays).

Once in the Building:
Check in at Security Desk for a temporary pass and an escort if necessary. Take the East elevators (next to the waterfall) to the fifth floor and follow signs to the Infectious Disease Unit/AIDS Research Center. To get to the AIDS Research Center: Enter Building 149 on ground floor (access from garage also via second floor bridge), and go all the way through to the far side of the building to the West Elevators. Take elevator to the 5th floor. Take a right from the elevator bank. Enter through doorway and follow corridor to the left. The AIDS Research Center Office is in Room 5212D (3rd office on your left).
