  • New drug shown safe, effective in treating hereditary angioedema - 8/4/2010, Research

    Clinical trials from two international research teams have shown that icatibant, a new drug that blocks the action of an inflammatory protein known as bradykinin, is safe and effective in treating acute attacks of hereditary angioedema, a potentially life-threatening condition.

Allergy/Immunology BWH/MGH Combined Conference

Allergy/Immunology BWH/MGH Combined Conferences are held the third Monday of the month from 7:30 am-8:30 am and the location alternates between Mass General and BWH campuses.

Allergy/Immunology Journal Club meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of the month from noon-1:00 pm in Bulfinch 165.

Allergic Disease Mechanisms Journal Club meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of the month from 8:00 am-9:00 am in Cox 201. Note: for the months of November and December, Allergic Disease Mechanisms Journal Club are held the third Wednesday of the month. No meetings held in July and August.
