Donations to the Clinic Further research is sorely needed to foster the development of effective and long-lasting treatments and prevention strategies. In spite of recent research, trichotillomania and self-injurious skin picking remain hidden illnesses with inadequate awareness among healthcare professionals and the general public. Inadequate funding exists for the basic studies that will significantly advance our scientific knowledge and provide enduring relief for sufferers of this disorder. The TTM program relies on your contributions to fund its groundbreaking research endeavors. Our program is exceptionally positioned to conduct world-class research given the volume of patients treated in our clinic, our close collaborations with the MGH Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Clinic and the Body Dysmorphic Disorder Clinic and Research Unit, and our access to excellent facilities of Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
