The Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder & Related Disorders Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School is comprised of a large team of highly experienced psychiatrists and psychologists. Some of the clinicians on our staff are also teachers at Harvard Medical School. Together, our psychiatrists, psychologists, and clinical research associates are among the world’s most experienced and renowned clinicians and researchers in this field.
The OCD Clinic consists of both a treatment program and a research unit. Patients are predominantly treated using state-of-the-art cognitive-behavioral therapy and/or medication. The research unit carries out significant research activities and is currently focusing on cutting edge research regarding information processing, neuropsychology, neuroimaging, neurobiology, genetics, prevalence, and treatment of OCD. The Clinic also serves an educational purpose, with research fellows and graduate students closely involved in clinical and research activities.
OCD can be a potentially devastating and debilitating disorder. The mission of the MGH OCD Clinic & Research Unit is to inform the public, advance research, and provide advanced clinical care and treatment for individuals with OCD and related disorders.
