Genetics
The Schizophrenia Program is involved in a wide range of genetic research
projects in collaboration with genetic laboratories at Harvard and other
institutions. DNA is collected from interested participants in studies
conducted by researchers in the Schizophrenia Program so that promising
genetic variants can be studied as possible predictors of response to
treatment. The collection of DNA and the accompanying comprehensive
clinical database will allow us to apply future genetic discoveries to our
understanding of the biological basis of schizophrenia and its treatments.
