We will explore how pain is perceived and processed in the brain in fibromyalgia and other chronic primary pain syndromes. We will also review the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, including lifestyle modifications, medications, sleep hygiene, and novel therapies shown to decrease pain.
