Neurodevelopmental disorders, which include learning disorders, affect millions of youth and their families. In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, this presentation will discuss the psychological impact of neurodevelopmental disorders on youth and their families, including how risk is compounded by racial and economic disparities. Practical advice about how to promote healthy child development, caregiver resilience, and greater understanding in the broader community will be shared.
