Laser Treatment Service

The Division of Burns is pleased to offer a new pulse dye laser service for burn and non-burn patients with rosacea, vascular lesions and erythematus scars. Treatments are performed in the Outpatient Clinic on Bigelow 13 by one of our several certified laser surgeons. Most patients say the laser treatments are pain-free, and over time, can produce positive results in improving the appearance of scarred or reddened skin.

Depending on the reason for the procedure, some insurance companies cover the cost of laser treatment. In most other cases, the procedure is considered cosmetic and is the financial responsibility of the patient.
