Burn Fellowship

The overall objective of the program is to take a well trained general surgeon and give him or her the cognitive and technical skills to perform the full range of burn surgery, to oversee the critical ward care required of burn patients, to oversee the rehabilitation of burn patients, and to lead the multidisciplinary burn team in a knowledgeable and compassionate way. This will be accomplished by integrating the fellow into the MGH-Shriners Burn programs for a year. During that time, the fellow will work closely with the members of the burn attending surgical staff, and participate fully in the multidisciplinary activities of both programs.
