"I have always been a visual person, and have cherished the impression of a moment, a glimpse, a sensation, an emotion. Photography has been the perfect medium to express this for me and to share these moments with others.  For me, photography focuses on essence, on the defining structure of that moment I was trying to capture. It may be the top of a fence post covered with snow, the one perfect blossom in a see of green, the undiscovered smile in a face or a streak of light reflected through a labyrinth of tree branches."
