Cancer Center recognizes employees of the year
The MGH Cancer Center recognized not one but two individuals during this year's employee of the year celebration. Linda Dell’Olio, staff assistant, and Lisa Goggin, project coordinator, both were presented with the honor May 28 in the Yawkey Center for Out-patient Care. Lorrie Pierce, a patient services coordinator, was commended as a runner-up for the award.
The MGH Cancer Center's Department of Radiation Oncology also honored its employee of the year the same day in the Cox Lower Lobby. Tony Hou, linear accelerator engineer, was selected for his positive attitude and work ethic. Special recognition awards were presented to five others: John Wolfgang, PhD, physicist; Rachel Bolton, RN, proton center nurse; Tara Gustin, RTT, radiation therapist; Lynnette Butt, RTT, radiation therapist; and Joann Benjamin, nurse's aid.
Off-campus, the Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center in Danvers held its first employee of the year recognition event, recognizing Charlene Rio, team leader for medical records. Frederica Preston, NP, nurse practitioner for Medical Oncology, and Nicole Mercier, medical assistant in Radiation Oncology, were runners-up.
