Cancer Center teams with the Patriots for Monday Night Football awareness night as part of the season-long "Kick Cancer" initiative.
Cancer Center teams with the Patriots
Patients, staff, clinicians and friends of the Mass General Cancer Center were on-hand to promote colon cancer awareness at Gillette Stadium during the Patriots/Jets game on December 6. As fans gathered for the much-hyped Monday Night Football match-up, they stopped by to speak with Cancer Center representatives and put on dark blue awareness pins in support of the cause. Representatives from Mass General's Development were also on hand to promote the one hundred nomination process which closes at the end of December. In addition to hosting members of the Cancer Center community, the Patriots also ran Public Service Announcements (PSAs) throughout the game encouraging fans to get screened. It was all part of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation’s season-long “Kick Cancer” initiative, during which Patriots staff and players are reaching out to help promote cancer awareness, prevention and early detection.
