The multidisciplinary pediatric cancer team is led by a
pediatric hematologist-oncologist and includes highly skilled
pediatric hematology-oncology nurses, a social worker,
child life specialist and other pediatric specialists as
needed.The pediatric cancer team meets to discuss each
patient and then recommends a personalized treatment plan.
As an
integral
member of MassGeneral Hospital for Children,
our pediatric cancer program practices family-centered care.
Parents and family members are an integral part of the treatment team and are
encouraged to be involved as much as possible.
