At this convenient location we offer fully integrated oncology care under one roof, with medical oncology, surgical oncology and radiation oncology consult services. The oncology team also includes on-site genetic counselors, nutritionists, and social workers. In addition, with the Mass General Cancer Center being a leader in targeted therapies, patients have access to clinical trial consults and referrals.

This center offers a coordinated team approach tailored to the individual needs of each patient, and patients can expect the same seamless coordination of care that they would receive in Boston. We coordinate our patients' care through specialized clinical centers and programs, ensuring that every patient benefits from a team of specialists who focus on their particular type of cancer.

Mind Body Program for Cancer Survivors

The Mass General Cancer Center is pleased to offer the Benson-Henry Institute for Mindy Body Medicine's highly regarded SMART-3RP training at its Boston and Waltham locations. This program is designed to assist patients who have completed treatment by providing the tools they need to cope with the experience of their illness, treatments and changes.

During nine, 90-minute weekly sessions, this program will help participants:

  • Learn self-care techniques, through relaxation, mindful awareness, yoga and adaptive thought patterns
  • Reduce stress and physical/emotional symptoms associated with cancer and its treatment
  • Cope with and manage late effects of treatment
  • Promote a sense of control, optimism, acceptance, and well-being

Elements of the program include:

  • Interactive lessons
  • Healthy behaviors
  • Group learning
  • Skills training
  • Symptom monitoring
  • Self-Care

Enrollment

The Mind Body Program for Cancer Survivors is billable to insurance; most insurers cover the program. Pre-registration and a $50 materials fee are required.

Via Mass Pike West (From Boston)
Take Exit 15 and follow instructions below for Route 95/128 Northbound.

Via Mass Pike East (From Framingham/Natick)
Take Exit 14 and follow instructions below for Route 95/128 Northbound.

Via Route 95/128 Northbound

  • Take Exit 27B (Exit 27A–B – Totten Pond Road/3rd Avenue).
  • Follow signs for Exit 27B, going underneath the bridge and exiting right to follow Winter Street/Totten Pond Road.
  • Bear right off the exit, then right over the highway.
  • Proceed straight through the first lights, and left through the second set of lights. (The Embassy Suites should now be on your right.)
  • Stay in the right lane and follow signs that state: Second Ave/Bear Hill Rd.
  • Turn right and then turn left into the BLUE parking garage, 52 Second Avenue.

Via Route 95/128 Southbound

  • Take Exit 27B (Winter St. Waltham) and bear right off the exit.
  • Proceed straight through the first lights and left through the second set. (Embassy Suites should now be on your right.)
  • Stay in the right lane and follow the signs: Second Ave / Bear Hill Rd.
  • Turn right and then turn left into the BLUE parking garage, 52 Second Avenue.

Via Route 93 North or South
Take the Route 95/128 south exit and take Exit 27B - Winter St.

Schedule an Appointment

Call the Registration and Referral Center (866-211-6588) if:

  • You are a patient who is new to the Mass General Hospital system.
    The Registration and Referral Center will assign you a patient number, which you will need to make an appointment with any of the Waltham physicians. After you obtain your patient number, call 617-726-5130. An access nurse will have a help to schedule your first appointment in Waltham. 

Call our Boston office (617-726-5130) if:

  • If you are a current Mass General patient, but have not been seen in Waltham yet.
    Your current Mass General physician will connect with a Waltham physician to discuss your care. A scheduler will then call you to schedule an appointment in Waltham.
  • If you are a current Mass General patient who needs to schedule a chemo start in Waltham, or would like to move your chemo to Waltham. Your current Mass General physician will connect with a Waltham physician to discuss your care. A scheduler will then call you to schedule your appointment in Waltham.
