Carole submitted a nomination for the one hundred and her name was automatically entered into a raffle for a chance to win an iPod – Carole is the raffle winner! the one hundred nomination process is now closed. Stay tuned!The Cancer Garden of Hope The Conquer Cancer Coalition is building "The Cancer Garden of Hope" on Boston City Hall Plaza. Engraved bricks and plaques are available for purchase online; each brick and plaque will serve as a meaningful and lasting tribute, and will have a direct impact in the fight against cancer. The Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center is eligible to receive a portion of sales proceeds, so please select the Mass General Cancer Center as your non-profit of choice. Mass General Cancer Center physicians participate in Florida networking eventDuring the last week of January, physicians from the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center visited friends and donors of the hospital in Palm Beach, Naples, Vero Beach and Miami. Drs. Jay Loeffler, David Ryan, William Curry, Keith Flaherty, Theodore Hong and William Pirl shared the exciting research advances and innovative patient care initiatives taking place at the Mass General Cancer Center.
Through their efforts, the Cancer Center was able to maintain and extend its network of friends and donors in Florida, who provide generous philanthropic support to the Cancer Center each year. The Cancer Center Development team would like to thank Drs. Loeffler, Ryan, Curry, Flaherty, Hong and Pirl for their tremendous partnership and efforts on behalf of the Mass General Cancer Center.
Also, thank you to Pamela Dicicco, Denise Laforteza, Judith Romano, Nancy Stackhouse and Sharon Tozier for all their hard work and help coordinating the many logistics of these activities.
