Sarcomas are a group of cancers that start in tissues like bone, cartilage, muscle, fat, nerve, blood and lymph vessels. As a group these tissues are called “connective tissues.” Sarcomas are rare diseases and can be difficult to diagnose. Treatment of sarcomas requires chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. Two types of sarcomas will be discussed.

Soft Tissue Sarcoma
Soft tissue sarcomas are cancers of tissues such as muscle, fat, nerve, blood and lymph vessels. They form a mass or lump that grows quickly and is not usually painful until it is quite large. To read more on Soft Tissue Sarcomas >>>

Osteosarcoma
