Chest: Front View

  • In the chest are the heart, lungs, trachea, esophagus and major blood vessels that go to and from the heart
  • The organs of the chest are surrounded by the ribs, muscles between the ribs and the diaphragm
  • The diaphragm separates the chest from the abdomen. It is the main muscle used for breathing.
