The images demonstrate normal white matter fibers in the brain - absent/disrupted prior to treatment but returning to normal after treatment. By reducing tumor mass and edema the normal white matter fibers are restored.

These images show MRI-based estimates of white matter tracts, the "wires" that connect different parts of the brain.

  • On the left is a patient before treatment, and on the right, one month after treatment.
  • On the right, more white matter tracts are visible, probably because of resolution of brain edema.

More investigations are needed to better understand the impact of these treatments.
