Dr. Koerner received his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and trained in anatomic and clinical pathology at the New England Deaconess Hospital, Fletcher Allen Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital. His professional interests center on diseases of the breast with an emphasis on the formative stages of breast carcinomas. From time to time, he lectures in postgraduate medical courses designed for practicing pathologists and he collaborates with colleagues to investigate questions of clinical relevance.
