I am originally from the South Pacific Island of Guam but have made my home in the Northeast. I did my undergraduate and medical school degrees at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry followed by residency in Internal Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital. After one year as a clinician/educator for the Primary Care Program in the Yale University School of Medicine I pursued fellowship training in Medical Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Following fellowship I joined the Developmental Therapeutics service at MSKCC where I was a member of the Gynecologic Oncology Disease Management Team. Following the birth of my first daughter, Isabelle, I relocated to Whitman, MA and became the Director of Medical Oncology for the Program in Women's Oncology at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island. While at WIHRI I helped begin and was co-director of Rhode Island's first Center for Sexuality, Intimacy, and Fertility for women with a history of cancer. I remain committed to clinical research in novel treatments for women with gynecologic cancer and in cancer survivorship, particularly as it relates to sexual health.
