Light One Little Candle Program
The HOPES Program has partnered with the Light One Little Candle Foundation to provide free children’s books to adults with cancer who are raising young children.
Joelle Pauporte, a young mother, doctor, and cancer patient, started the Light One Little Candle Foundation. It was her wish that other adults with cancer find the same comfort and joy with their children that she experienced with her daughter through reading classic and funny stories.
This book program is designed to give adults the chance to connect with their children by reading together. The books are located in the Maxwell V. Blum Cancer Resource Room on the 8th floor of the Yawkey Center for Outpatient Care, Suite 8C.
If you would like to donate new books, please see our wish list on Amazon.com or purchase new books at any bookstore.
