Cancer Center employee appreciation event

WORDS OF GRATITUDE: Haber addresses the crowd at the event, expressing appreciation for those who help in the fight against cancer.

On July 30, MGH faculty and staff gathered under the Bulfinch Tent to celebrate the many contributions of MGH Cancer Center employees and the one hundred 2015 honorees. Daniel Haber, MD, PhD, director of the Cancer Center, thanked this year’s honorees for their commitment to the fight against cancer and introduced Thomas Spitzer, MD, director of the Bone Marrow Transplant Program a 2015 the one hundred honoree. Spitzer expressed his appreciation at being recognized among the many deserving individuals and thanked his colleagues, noting they recently celebrated the incredible feat of performing their 2,000th bone marrow transplant. Nominations for the one hundred 2016 are now open at www.theonehundred.org. Staff and patients are encouraged to nominate a researcher, caregiver, advocate, volunteer or philanthropist who is changing the way cancer
is fought.
