Career Scam

Mass General only considers individuals who have submitted a resume and application through our online careers database at www.mghcareers.org. We do not request financial information, nor charge any fees as part of the application process. We do not offer positions through email, and we suspect these emails are an attempt to fraudulently obtain information and/or funds from would-be job seekers.

If you think you may have provided personal information to this scam, we encourage you to take the following actions:

  1. File a report with the Internet Crimes Complaint Center: http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
  2. File a report with your local law enforcement authority
  3. Contact the three major credit-reporting bureaus (Equifax, Experian and Transunion) and request that a Fraud Alert be placed on your account
  4. Visit the Federal Trade Commission's Website for more information concerning identity theft at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/idtheft/

Please do not respond to any additional emails from them and if you do receive more, please email them to us at careers@partners.org. We will have our internal Police and Security Department investigate.
