The vitamin D receptor is ubiquitous, and activation of this receptor results in the transcription of critical genes that regulate immunity, inflammation, fibrosis, cell proliferation, and other important functions.

Mission
The mission of the Center for D-receptor Activation Research (CeDAR) is to support innovative studies with seed grants, and to improve understanding of the widespread biological and clinical consequences related to the activation of the vitamin D receptor.
