Hepatitis C Program
The MGH Community Health Associates (CHA), Hepatitis C Program monitors and coordinates services for clients who have tested positive for the Hepatitis C Virus (HCV). In collaboration with the clinical staff of the MGH Health Centers, the program provides case identification, medical provider education, and intensive follow-up services for clients requiring additional support to maintain the prescribed treatment regimen. The program also offers individual and group education sessions; distributes HCV educational materials to health center clinicians; and participates in various community health fairs as well as promoting Hepatitis C Awareness Month.
