MEMBERS OF MassGeneral Hospital for Children’s (MGHfC) Child Life Team marked the 30th anniversary of Child Life Month by hosting a table in the White Corridor March 22. The month celebrates the efforts of certified child life specialists, who work to empower and support children and families facing stressful life events. Eight full-time and three part-time certified child life specialists work at MGHfC.
“The month is an opportunity for us to educate the hospital and the community about the services we provide,” says Marilyn Gifford, CCLS, senior child life specialist. “People are interested in all the areas of Child Life at the hospital."
