Q: What is your name?
Chris Buliga
Q: Where are you from?
Originally from Windsor, Ontario Canada, but I have been living in Braintree, MA, for seven years.
Q: Why did you choose to run the marathon for MassGeneral Hospital for Children?
My son, and patient partner Nathan, is being treated at MGHfC.
Q: What kind of experience do you have as a runner?
I have absolutely NO experience as a runner. This is my first marathon.
Q: What inspires you as a runner?
What inspires me is the courage and determination that Nathan shows me every day. I am very proud of him.
Q: What has been your most memorable moment preparing for the marathon?
Falling flat on my face after leaving Marathon Sports with new running shoes and heading into a restaurant. No explanation, I just fell.
Q: What have you learned about your son and what makes him special?
I have learned that he is definitely my hero for having the strength and courage to battle this cancer. He does this while still thinking of others.
Q: What are you most looking forward to about marathon day?
I am hoping to meet up with Nathan near Mile 26 and cross the finish line with him.
Q: Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I am very honored to have been chosen as one of the runners for this team. I hope I can make everyone proud, even if at the end, Nathan is carrying me across the finish line.
